An excerpt from Christine's new book "About The Voice of God" which will be released in July.
The substance of God’s voice is altogether experiential.
Let's begin with a couple of simple yet profound thoughts. The Lord of all Creation has chosen you as His dwelling place. He is within you. When He speaks, you can sometimes feel it in the core of your being. Other times you can sense His voice moving through you like a soft current. You can learn to become more conscious of His voice rumbling within your soul. But learning to recognize His voice is not a work, nor is it something that striving can attain. It is found within love, and love is expressed in surrender.
So today, simply love His voice. Don’t work to hear it. Don’t labor to achieve it. Don’t toil to understand it. Just surrender and love His voice. Love listening to Him. Love sensing Him. Allow your heart to simply love relating to Him.
Giving our hearts to this love affair positions us to be more deeply rooted in rest and grace, propelling us down a road of freedom, intimacy, and encounter with God. Go deeper still. Let your heart gaze upon the One who made you, and tell Him how you love perceiving Him, sensing Him, and knowing Him. It often feels like a dance. We step with God in musical harmony. He speaks, we believe. He nudges, we act. He smiles, we grow. He corrects, we learn. This all happens within the embrace of the dance. The dance of grace. The dance of mystery. The dance of joy. Dancing our way through life, enthralled with the sound of His being. Jesus Christ, our Lord and our King. He’s absolutely enchanting.
